Why This Guy Refused $400K on SharkTank

I recently interviewed a very interesting character called Steven Sashen, you may have heard of him…

Earlier this year Steven was on the TV show ‘SharkTank’, looking for investors.

He’s the CEO of a highly successful business in the footwear niche. He started out with his wife in November 2009 with $50 and the business is now on track to pull 1.2 million dollars for 2013!

If that wasn’t impressive enough, one of the investors offered $400,000 for a 50% share. Based on valuations of the business (which were in the range of $5 Million) Steven refused the offer!

This episode of ‘Shark Tank’ is being re-aired tonight on ABC at 8pm EST and I highly recommend you check it out…

It’s a great story, but what really interested me was that Stephen launched his business from home with just a website, relying purely on the viral effect of word-of-mouth, and in just over 3 years is now making six figure profits!
