What is working for 2013?

Hey

Being a friday I thought I would end off the week by giving
you lots of juicy tips as to what is working for 2013 and
what is not.

As you probably know, the internet changes very quickly and
it’s important to always keep your finger on the pulse so
to speak so what was working in 2012 may be useless
for 2013.

You have to adapt.

And you have to stay on top of what is working and what
is not.

The first thing I’m going to say is SEO is NO LONGER a
worthwhile business model.

It was never that stable back in the day when I used to
crank out lots of affiliate and niche sites but it was
still (do-able) and was still worth it when it came to a
time Vs profit perspective.

However… few months ago I saw a glimpse of hope once again
when it came to SEO.

But no it really was not to happen…

With all of my testing that I do I can safely now say that
SEO is really not worth it anymore because google have
really cocked things up big time.

You only have to look at the listings to see that.

They tell you to do one thing but actually rank your sites
based on the opposite (and this is just the beginning, don’t
get me started on the all the backlinking stuff and
competitors being able to deliberately sabotage your sites!

So I’m just going to let google keep playing their games.

Meanwhile I’m going to sleep better and make more money
using other methods anyway 🙂

For all the time that you would spend on messing around
with building links to get ranked etc you are far better
off spending your time on much more profitable methods
(which I will cover in just a moment)

So that is my take on SEO in 2013 and for the for the
foreseeable future.

This leads us onto the things that you should be using.

If you know me at all then I always say you must be
building your list and creating products if you want a stable
income online.

Those are the two main ingredients but there is something
else which is proving to be working very well for me in
2013 and I can see it being a major part of my business as
I go forward too.

Can you guess what it is?

Ok I will tell ya….

It’s FFFFFF…

Facebook…

Yep facebook is no longer somewhere that you just gossip to
friends and family and share pictures of justin bieber 🙂

It’s a very very powerful marketing platform.

For massive traffic.

And we all know what that means don’t we?

Traffic = cash

I’m not going to go into detail of exactly how you use
facebook to make money right now but let me just say it’s
ideal for lots of things when it comes to Internet Marketing.

In fact… I’m currently creating a system where I use
facebook to make money with niche sites and affiliate
sites.

And google don’t even come into it.

And the traffic is still free…and lots of it too 🙂

That’s enough of facebook talk for now, I will go more into
detail about facebook some other time.

The next thing I want to discuss is solo ads.

In 2012 solo ads become really popular but one of the
downsides to this is more and more people started to sell
them and they started to only build their email list for
the sole purpose of just selling solo ads.

What a crock of s**t

Because of this the quality of solo ad traffic started to
get absolutely dreadful so this made me start to re-think
solo ads.

The fact is the solo ad concept is still very powerful you
just need a way to find more fresh solo ads rather than
just use the ones that have been hammered to death by every
man and his dog.

My advice is to be a lot more careful with solo ads
especially in the IM niche. I have been testing some new
ways of finding new and fresh solo ads which has worked out
very well and I will be revealing all of my findings very
soon when my campaigns are complete.

The next thing I want to discuss is article marketing.

Article marketing is no where near as effective as it once
was back in the good ol 2009 days.

Many article sites like ezine articles have taken a massive
hit from google and the same goes for many other article
sites so if you value the time that you put into writing
articles then I suggest you use your time on more productive
methods.

If you like to write and you want to generate traffic with
articles or content then consider creating a blog and create
killer content on there instead.

This is a great way to generate link bait meaning others
will want to link to you which will send you traffic.

Either that or locate some other good blogs in your niche
and write some guest posts which gets you a good link back
to your site.

You can still get traffic from article directories
and sites but the return on your hard content creating work
will be no where near as effective as it once was.

That is pretty much it for today, I have lots more great
stuff I want to share with you but we will save those for
another day 😉
