The DVD update (the one from 30k+ ft up)

I’m currently on a flight from Charlotte to Vegas to spend a few days relaxing. I’m also meeting up with Ryan since he’s out there as well.

Wanted to touch base with you while I’m 30,000+ feet in the air about the DVDs we gave out and asked for help with shipping and handling for. First and foremost, I’m at fault for the delay. Here’s what happened:

Before you send any kind of physical media out en masse, it’s wise to send it to yourself first to make sure it’s perfect. Well, the first company I was dealing with (they will remain nameless for specific reasons) screwed the pooch on quality, delivery time, and overall presentation of the DVD. I had ordered two copies (each taking a weeks’ time to get to me) and neither were right. So that took the process back nearly 3 weeks longer than anticipated.

Now the new company we are working with ARE right on time. They’re a little more expensive but it’s worth it. But the final rendering I had sent to me the first time wasn’t exactly correct with the menu options and set the process back yet another week. I spent this morning (first day of my vacation) re-doing the entire process step-by-step on the phone with the rep to make sure it was, 110% correct and awesome. 

My test copy is being sent this week and will be waiting for me when I arrive home Friday evening. This means that if it looks good (both me and the rep are confident it will) yours will ship Monday. If you are in the CONUS, you’ll have it by the end of next week. If not, it may take a few more days, depending.

Once again, it’s MY FAULT (so no more angry emails to Ryan or our support staff, please :)) but I wanted our first physical media product we ever sent out to look RIGHT and not half assed. So please direct any hate and discontent towards me to the comments section of the post I made in the DareDevil Marketing Facebook group. 

I will look forward to reading them on my birthday Wednesday.  😉
