Use this TRICK to land clients (I’ve never given this away before)

I hope you had an excellent independence day for my fellow Americans, and just an awesome weekend for my fellow non Americans! I just got back from the beach, enjoying time with my family. Now it is back to work. 

I wanted to ask you a question:

Do you know how Groupon works? 

Let’s say your a personal trainer, and you want to drum up some business and you get strong armed by a Groupon salesman
into..using Groupon. 

This is what happens, let’s say you charge $100 for a 2 hour session. 

To run the groupon, you’ll cut that in half.. to $50. 

How many ever you sell, you still owe groupon 50% of THAT.. and you are left with the chump change and bill.  So, if you usually sell 10.. $100, 2 hour sessions.. you are going to make $1000 for your 20 hours of work. 

If you do the same with Groupon, you’ll end up with about $250.. for your 20 hours of work… eek! 

This is even worse for businesses with overhead.. can you imagine? 

This is your plan for this week to drum up some more business:

Step 1) Go to groupon.com and go to the city you want to target

Step 2) Note down all of the businesses running deals that are in the VERTICAL you want to target 

Step 3) Note down contact information, and when the Groupon expires

Step 4) When Groupon expires, follow up with the company to ask them about their Groupon

Script: 

You: “Hey, is business owner name there? It’s Ryan” 

Them: “Can I ask what this is about” 

You: “Their Groupon is expired, I am following up to see how the campaign went, this is Ryan”

Them “hold one second!” 

Even though you never identify your self as a representative of Groupon, just that you are simply following up to see how the campaign went! (Which you really are)

Once you get the decision maker on the phone, explain who you are, what you do, go over the pain points of Groupon (remember he or she is fresh off a beatin’!) and let them know how you can help them drive leads and continue to help market to those leads.
